• Identified and isolated fungus species from rumen of buffaloes which reduce Methane production
• Identified fungus species to enhance digestibility of straw and improve growth in Nili Ravi buffaloes
• First time characterized ITGB2 involved in antigen-presentation function in Murrah buffaloes
• Double copy of DQA identified in Murrah buffaloes which may be related to enhanced immunity
